PLA 1 is an English proficiency assessment developed by LinguaPremia to help you explore your abilities in three key areas: Listening, Writing (Structure and Written Expression), and Reading. What Does PLA 1 Assess?
Listening Comprehension
Assess your ability to understand spoken English through conversations and talks. This section focuses on identifying main ideas, recognizing important details, understanding speakers’ intentions, and interpreting implied meanings.
Writing – Structure and Written Expression
Explore your understanding of English grammar and sentence construction. This section focuses on choosing appropriate structures and identifying errors in written sentences, including problems with verb forms, word order, agreement, and word usage. It assesses sentence-level accuracy rather than essay-writing skills.
Reading Comprehension
Assess your ability to understand academic-style passages and interpret information in context. Questions focus on main ideas, supporting details, vocabulary, references, and inferences—encouraging you to read carefully and distinguish between what a text states and what it suggests.
